The first time you hear the word cancer, it can take your breath away. You want to go back in time before you knew you had the disease. You want to move forward, but you are afraid of what the future holds. And, the reality of the present is overwhelming.
We are here to help. Working side by side. Upper Chesapeake Cancer LifeNet team members will support you, guide you, and help you face life with cancer.
We understand all too well that life does not stop when you have a cancer diagnosis. Your house still needs cleaning, your yard still needs to be raked and your kids still need to go to school. Many of these chores you handled with ease. Now, with cancer treatment and visits to the doctor, simple tasks like making dinner for the family or doing laundry seem monumental.
Our Cancer LifeNet program helps you find the services you need to balance work, family and cancer treatment. Our skilled professionals have an in-depth knowledge of cancer treatment and the emotional and financial resources available for you right here in your community. Their help allows you to concentrate on fighting the disease instead of fighting the system.
Navigator and supportive care services are provided free through the Upper Chesapeake Cancer LifeNet Program for all individuals in Harford and Cecil counties with a cancer diagnosis regardless of where they receive treatment.
You don't have to face cancer alone. Call the Cancer LifeNet Helpline at 1-866-393-4355 for support.
